Sachin Tendulkar postage stamp released on honour of the
Little Master before 200th Test
A postage stamp honouring Sachin Tendulkar was
released before the start of the maestro's 200th Test match at
the Wankhede Stadium.
Milind Deora, Sharad Pawar and Rajeev Shukla released
the stamp honouring Tendulkar ahead of the start of second Test between India
and West Indies.
Even for the toss, the captains used a special
commemorative coin featuring the image of the legendary batsman.
Deora tweeted that Tendulkar is the second living person
after Mother Teressa to get a postage stamp in his honour.
Tendulkar announced his retirement on October 10, 2013.
And ever since then it has been a frenzy with media attention and
felicitations.
Speaking on Sachin Tendulkar's last test match, British
Prime Minister Cameron
said, "I have a picture of his at the UK stadium, I hope he likes that as
a gift."
