Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the selection in the following positions of the Advanced Centre for Atmospheric Radar Research, Cochin University Recruitment 2014 of Science and Technology to work on the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, funded mega project on Stratosphere Troposphere (ST) Radar Facility at Cochin.
Name of post : Research Scientist Jobs CUSAT
Monthly Pay : Rs 40,000/ (consolidated)
No. of Post : One
CUSAT Recruitment 2014 Qualifications : Ph. D. in Atmospheric Sciences / Electronics/ Physics OR M. Tech in Electronics and Communications with High First Class or Equivalent CGPA in 10 point scale.
Experience : Minimum 2 years of research experience after Ph.D., preferably in Government/ University/ Autonomous Research or Academic Institution, with proven ability in publishing research papers in peer reviewed scientific journals.
Desirable : Research experience in Radar operation/ Signal processing/ Atmospheric Dynamics
Job Requirements : The incumbent scientist is expected to involve activity for the development of the radar facility to a Centre of Excellence and also work along with the team of senior scientists. The selected candidate would be expected to establish a competitive and independent research program in 3-4 years.
Age : Not more than 45 years. In case of suitable candidates are not available, retired persons with the above mentioned qualification and experience will be considered.
2. Name of post : Research Associate
Monthly Pay : Rs 25,000/ (consolidated)
No. of Post : One
Qualifications : Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences / Space Physics OR M. Tech in Atmospheric Science/ Space Science with High First Class or Equivalent CGPA in 10 point scale.
Desirable : Research experience in Radar related instrumentation/ signal processing/System Development/ Atmospheric modelling
Job Requirements : The scientists are expected to involve activity for the development of the radar facility and work along with the team of senior scientists.
Age : Not more than 40 years
3. Name of post : Technical Assistant /Skilled Assistant
Monthly Pay : Rs 20,000/ (consolidated)
No. of Post : One
Qualifications : M. Com Degree with experience in Accountancy, Tally and basic computer operations.
Job Requirements : The selected candidate are expected to maintain the accounting / purchase procedures of radar equipment / accessories and other activities related to the project. He should work in close liaison with the team of senior scientists / Engineers in connection with the administration of the radar centre.
Age : Not more than 30 years.
Only Indian Nationals need apply.
Only short listed candidates will be called for written test/interview, as the case may be, based on merit.
Candidates shortlisted for written test/interview should appear in person with original certificates proving educational qualification, age, caste, experience etc., along with any other relevant information (like copies of publication, awards, recommendations etc.)
