EMPLOYMENT NOTICE
Applications are invited from eligible Sikkim High Court Recruitment 2014 local candidates for filling up 3(three) posts of
Driver (Group ‘C’) in the pay band and grade pay of PB-1: 5200-20,200 + 2400 (GP) in
the Establishment of the High Court of Sikkim.

Justice Pius Chakkalayil Kuriakose has been sworn in as the new Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court.
Sikkim Governor Balmiki Prasad Singh administered the oath to Justice Kuriakose in Gangtok.
Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling attended the swearing-in ceremony.
2. Candidates should possess minimum educational qualification of Class VIII pass and a
licence in driving light vehicles with a minimum experience of 3(three) years.
3. Age limit:- Minimum 18 years
Maximum 30 years as on 30.04.2014.
In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the
maximum age relaxation is up to five years, for Most Backward Classes four years, and for
Other Backward Classes three years.
4. Candidates fulfilling the above conditions may apply for the above posts of Driver
along with supporting documents, duly attested and 3(three) passport size photographs to the
undersigned. Applications received without supporting documents will be summarily rejected.
5. The last date for receipt of Sikkim High Court Recruitment 2014 applications is 05.05.2014.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up three posts in the cadre of
Sikkim Judicial Service, in the pay scale of Rs. 27,700-770-33,090-920-40,450-1080-44,770/- plus other allowances, as admissible under the Rules.
1. A candidate shall eligible to be recruited if he/she is :-
(a) a citizen of India.
(b) not more than 35 years of age as on the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
(c) the holder of a degree in law granted by a University established by law in India.
(d) able to communicate in Nepali, or any other language of the State.
(e) has adequate knowledge of Computer to be tested at the time of Viva- Voce.
1. Recruitment to the post of Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate (Grade- III) shall be made
on the basis of a competitive examination to be held by the High Court at such intervals as the
High Court may determine. The date on which and the place at which the examination is to be
held, shall be fixed by the High Court.
2. The syllabus for the written examination as prescribed in Sikkim Judicial Service Rules,
1975 is available in the High Court website i.e. http://highcourtofsikkim.nic.in.
3. All questions shall be answered in English except the language paper. Answer in any other
language will not be considered for evaluation.
4. Applications furnishing all particulars of eligibility, accompanied by attested copies of the
following testimonials:
i)Certificate of Educational Qualification,
including Certificates of Class X & XII,
ii) 03 (three) passport size photographs
should be submitted to the office of the
Registrar General.
6. Applications which are not accompanied by relevant documents shall be rejected summarily.
7. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
8. Application, received after the last date i.e 26.05.2014 shall not be entertained on any ground.
9. Only those candidates found eligible on preliminary scrutiny shall be called for written
examination.
10. No T.A/D.A. shall be paid for appearing in the examination and for the Viva- voce test.
11. The Registry of the High Court of Sikkim reserves the right to accept or reject any application,
with or without any reasons.
12. Examination fees of Rs. 500/- shall be payable in favour of the Registrar General, High Court of
Sikkim, by way of account payee Demand Draft of any Bank payable at Gangtok, and shall be
submitted along with the application. The said amount shall be non refundable.
13. The application should be submitted in the prescribed form which is available in the office of the
Registrar General.
9. The list of eligible candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board of the High Court
of Sikkim and/or through sms in their mobile numbers mentioned in their applications along
with the date of interview/selection test.
