Scope and career opportunities osmania University : Many ambitious young men and women have taken MDHM to enviable positions in the arena of hospital management at destinations like
Narayana Hrudayalaya, Al Sulaiman Hospital, Manipal hospital , Reliance Health
Insurance, ICICI Lombard, Delloitte , Cognizant and other corporate leaders of health
care industry.
MDHM is a two-year course spread over four semesters. First and third
semester begin in July and ends in November. Second and fourth semester begin in
January and end in May. The summer vacation at the end of the first and third
semester is devoted to project work and internship. Placement activities commence
towards the end of the fourth semester
osmania University Course Delivery: The course is delivered through class room lectures, guest lectures by academicians from universities and domain experts from health care industry,
hospital visits, project work, internship, postings in hospitals, dissertation , conferences
and study tours to hospitals in other states.
Curriculum: The strength of MDHM lies in its strong and contemporary curriculum, the
knowledge and experience of the core and visiting faculty, the exposure to hospital
industry and the diverse profiles of students. The MDHM curriculum is flexible and is
updated from time to time in consultation with practicing managers to ensure inclusion
of current practices and cases.The curriculum design is as below:
osmania University Internship: The internship provides students with an opportunity to gain work
experience in an area of concentration or interest while receiving credit towards their
degree. The summer internship is organised for 8 weeks . No student is admitted to the
second year without completing the summer internship.
