Applications from Indian nationals are invited for one temporary position of Research Associate /ProjectFellow under the project “Theoretical exploration of optical properties and photovoltaic application possibilities of carbon based nanostructures” funded by DST-Nanomission of the Govt. of India to be executed in the School of Physical Sciences at NISER.
Research Associate(RA) :
Essential Qualification: Candidate should have Ph.D or equivalent degree or at least 3 years of research experience after finishing M.Tech in theoretical/computational condensed matter physics/materials science.
Those who have submitted their Ph.D thesis in the above fields are also eligible to apply.
Candidates with prior experience in first-principles calculation will be given preference.
FELLOWSHIP: `22,000/- + HRA (as per DST norms)
AGE: Not more than 35 years as on April 30, 2014 (age relaxation to entitled categories as per DST rules)
Project Fellow (PF):
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (minimum 60% marks) in Chemistry/Physics or equivalent. Candidates should have valid CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE / any national level entrance examination qualification.
Candidates with prior experience in first-principles calculation will be given preference.
FELLOWSHIP: As per DST Norms
AGE: 28 years as on April 30, 2014, age relaxation to entitled categories as per DST rules.
If no candidate is found suitable for the position of Research Associate (RA), Project Fellow (PF) will be considered based on the qualification mentioned above.
Last Date of Receipt of Application: 30.04.2014.
Interested candidates should submit an application duly filled in all respect in a proforma that only includes latest CV, list of publications, statement of research and two reference letters, with a recent passport size photograph pasted on it, to “The Administrative Officer-III(R&D),

The selection will be made on the basis of interview of shortlisted
candidates to whom the date of interview will be communicated appropriately. In absence of which, it bears the risk of not being considered.
