Work--Vegetation sampling and mapping for the areas; Quantification of resources availability and quality; Monitoring of vegetation responses in the relocated village sites over spatial and temporal scales;
Qualification
Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/Botany/Zoology/Forestry/Life Science/Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences/Biological Sciences with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Age of the candidate shall not be more than 28 years for the advertised position of JRF and 32 years for SRF as on Wednesday, 23rd April 2014.
Type of Work
To study the impact of artificial illumination on nesting sea turtles using the Gahirmatha rookery and assess the level of disorientation by turtle hatchlings. The researcher is expected to be highly motivated and have the ability to work in harsh environment that will include regular boat based surveys in the near-shore waters off the Odisha coast.
Candidate(s) possessing Master’s Degree along with final year mark-sheet will only be eligible to appear for the walk-in-interview. Candidates appearing in the final year of Masters’ Degree Program will not be eligible to apply for the advertised position.
