Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

Pay Band of Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 10,000/-
Deputy Librarian Mumbai
Five years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.
Evidence of innovative Library service and organization of published work and professional commitment, computerization of Library.
Desirable : A M. Phil/Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/ achieves and manuscript –
keeping/computerization of Library.
A minimum Score (from Category – III – 300 score) as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out as per UGC Regulation.
Pay Band of Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 9,000/-
NOTE :
30% posts are reserved for women as per the Government of Maharashtra Rules in that behalf.
Persons with disabilities having at least 40% disability are eligible for the post reserved for such a category.
B in the seven points scale with latter grades O,A,B,C,D,E, and F shall be regarded as equivalent of 55% where ever the grading system is followed.
Candidate needs to submit NOC from the present employer at the time of Interview.
The minimum requirement of 55% shall not be insisted upon for Professors, Associate Professor the existing incumbents who are already in the University system.
However, these marks shall be insisted upon for those entering the system from outside and those at the entry point of Assistant Professor.
Those who are appointed after 01/11/2005 are eligible for pension as per GR No. अंिनयो१००५/१२६/सेवा-४, िदनांक ३१/१०/२००५ under DCPS Scheme.
