Is engaged in power transmission business withthe mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete inter-State transmission system and operation of National & Regional Power Grids.
POWER GRID operates around 1,01,379 circuit kms of transmission lines along with 169 Sub-stations (as on 30.6.2013) and wheels about 50% of total power generated in the country through its transmission network.
Vigilance Officer/ E2A 2 posts 02 (UR-01, SC-01)
Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of one year at POWERGRID sites and training institutes. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineer.
AGE LIMIT
28 years as on 31.12.2013
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
Graduate with minimum second division marks from a recognized University /
Institute. Preference will be given to candidates having degree in Law. Relevant experience in vigilance matters, departmental enquiries, investigation &
court cases etc. in central Govt. departments/ PSU/ Autonomous bodies/ Cooperatives.
Experience in PSU/ Listed Company particularly in Power Sector will be
preferred
Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:38 Years as on 20th September 2014
a) For OBC(NCL) candidates: 3 years
b) For SC/ST candidates: 5 years
c) For PwD candidates: 10 years over and above category relaxation (i.e. 10 years for a PwD candidate belonging to General category, 13 years for a PwD candidate belonging to OBC(NCL) category etc.)
d) J&K Domicile /
Ex-Servicemen/
Victims of 1984 riots
: As per Govt. of India directives.
Group Discussion and Personal Interview are likely to be conducted in the month of April/May 2014.
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process will include the marks obtained (Out of 100) by the eligible candidates in the EE paper of GATE 2014, followed by group discussion and personal interview of the candidates who qualify in the GATE paper and have been shortlisted category wise for the GD and interview. Candidates shall have the option for appearing the GD/ interview in Hindi or English.

Last Date of Submission of Online Application i.e. 20.09.2014
Interested eligible candidates should apply ON LINE only and then send the online generated resume with necessary documents by post. Any other mode of submission of application would not be accepted.
An application fee of Rs.400/- is payable by candidates (other than SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM) through a non-refundable A/C Payee Demand Draft in favour of “Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.”, payable at New Delhi (preferably drawn on State Bank of India).
The application and the enclosures should be sent to the address mentioned below in an envelope by ordinary post only.
