Atul Sarpotdar, the leader of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) died at the age of 51
Due to illness he was admitted to Leelavati Hospital in suburban Bandra on 25 December 2013( Monday ) due to blood sugar-related problems.
He was the General Secretary and Chief Coordinator of Marathwada in MNS.

Anurag Bhushan took charge as the Dubai Consul General of India -Anurag Bhushan, took charge as the Consul General of India in Dubai and Northern Emirates in the UAE. Before taking the charge as the Consul General, he was serving as the head of the Regional passport office in New Delhi.
Anurag Bhushan is the fourteenth Consul General of India in Dubai, since 1973 and he is the successor of Sanjay Verma, who has been appointed as the ambassador of India to Ethiopia.

- He is survived by his wife and a son.
- Raj broke away from Shiv Sena to join Raj Thackeray.
- Sarpotdar was an old associate of MNS chief Raj Thackeray, when Thackeray was leading Bhartiya Vidyarthi Sena, the student’s wing of Shiv Sena.
He was the General Secretary and Chief Coordinator of Marathwada in MNS.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said over Rs 2,000 crore had been transferred to consumers in 184 districts as direct benefits. In these high-Aadhaar coverage districts, 66 million consumers have been benefited, it said. The scheme aims to curb leakages and prevent black-marketing and provide subsidy to consumers in their bank accounts.
