NOTICE between 35 to 45 Years as on the last date
Applications on the prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates i.e. members
of the bar (Advocates) belonging to General category and Scheduled Tribe category for
appointment as Additional District and Sessions Judges in H.P. Judicial Service in the cadre
of District Judges / Additional District Judges in the pay scale of ` 51550-63070, for the
following vacancies:
(a) Existing vacancies = 2 (General category)
(b) Future vacancies that may arise = 1(General category)
within one year due to retirement
(c) Future vacancies that may arise = 3 (2 for General Category
within one Year due to elevation to and 1 for Scheduled Tribe
High Court, or Otherwise, say 10 % category)
Last date for receipt of applications : 30.4.2014
Date of Written Examination : 30.06.2014
The candidates must have attained the age of 35 years and not have attained the
age of 45 years on the last date of receipt of the application. All the important criteria
regarding age, educational qualification, experience and character should be supported by
attaching copies thereof. Intending candidates may visit the High Court Website for
collecting relevant information with regard to eligibility criteria, Format of application, time
schedule, all matters connected therewith including application fee etc, Syllabus, Rules and
Regulations, and all the relevant terms and conditions connected with the Selection Process.

5. Dispatch / issue of admit cards to the eligible applicants 16th May .5.2014 to 15th June, 2014
6. Written examination may bea) Objective questions with multiple choice question which can be scrutinized with the help of the computer; and Subjective / 30th June, 2014
Declaration of result of written examination
a) Result shall be put on the website and also published in the newspaper;
b) The ratio of 1:3 of the available vacancies to the successful candidates shall be maintained. 16th August,2014
Declaration of final select list 15th September, 2014
Issue of appointment letter by the competent authority for all existing vacant posts as on date 30th September, 2014
Last date for joining 31st October,.2014
The applications received after the due date or incomplete applications shall be out rightly
rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in that respect. The words
“Applications for the post of Additional District and Sessions Judge” should be super
scribed on top of the envelope containing the application form.
DD/postal order for Rs. 500/- in respect of general category, and Rs.200/- in respect of ST
category favouring the Registrar General, High Court of H.P. and payable at Shimla;
