Tripura Police Recruitment 2014 Naib-Subedar(Stenographer) open recruitment rally

An open recruitment rally for male candidates only will be held on 21–22 February, 2014 from 08 A.M at HQr 2nd Bn TSR, R K Nagar, West Tripura District, for the post of Naib-Subedar(Stenographer) in TSR Battalions against inside and outside state(s) quota, on temporary basis, in the Pay Band-2 Rs.5310 – 24,000/-, Grade Pay Rs.2400/- plus other allowances as admissible to Tripura State Government employees from time to time. Vacancy position of Naib-Subedar(Stenographer) in TSR Battalions is as under:-

Naib-Subedar (Stenographer) 8 vacancies

Eligibility criteria in regards Physical standard, educational qualification, age, medical standard etc.

Height:

Should have minimum height of 167.64 cms (5’-6”) for SC/UR category, relaxable to 162.50 cms(5”- 4” ) for Gorkha, Garwalies, Kumaonese, Adiwasis and Tribals.

Chest:

78.74 cms(31”) un-expanded and 83.82 cms(33”) expanded for those, whose minimum height is 167.64 cms (5’6”) AND 76.2 cms(30”) un-expanded and 81.28 cms(32”) expanded for those, whose height is less than 167.64 cms (5’6”) .

Weight:

Minimum 54 Kgs for heights of 167.64 Cms and above. 52 Kgs for height below 167.64 cms for ST candidates.

Qualifications
(i) Should have passed at least Intermediate or equivalent examination;
(ii) Should have experience of at least two years as a Stenographer in a Government or Private establishment;
(iii) Have minimum speed of 80 words per minute in English Shorthand writing and 40 words per minute in English typing.

The candidates must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Physical Test:-
1.100 Mtrs. Run 15 seconds
2.Long Jump
3.80 mtrs.
3.High Jump 1.20 mtr.
4. Shot put (7.26 Kg)
5.60 mtrs.5. 800 mtrs run 2 minutes 50 seconds

Paper-I
Written test: One essay (20 marks), one letter writing (15 marks), report writing (15 marks), grammar (20 marks) and GK/ Current affairs (10 marks).
Paper-II
Written & Type test: Shorthand writing (English – 30 marks) minimum speed 80 words per minute and Typing (English – 20 marks) minimum speed 40 words per minute.

Oral test: Full marks 20 and pass mark 8 i.e. 40% of full marks-20.
During oral test, youth(s)/candidate(s) will be tested on general smartness, GK and current affairs etc.

Selection Procedure: Selection of youth(s)/candidate(s) for the post of Naib-Subedar (Stenographer) in TSR Battalions shall be made in order of merit of total marks obtained by them in written and oral tests only provided that such selection shall not exceed category-wise vacancy position as notified.
