Over 14,000 police vacancies in Tamil Nadu to be filled up soon
More than 14,000 vacancies of various posts in the state police would be filled up soon and another 10,500 youths are to be recruited for a Special Police Youth Brigade.
A total of 13,924 constables (Grade II), 886 sub- inspectors, 234 technical assistants and 197 finger print experts' vacancies would be filled up soon.
This year, a total of 10,704 houses, 223 police stations and 63 other buildings were being constructed for the police force at a cost of Rs 1,695 crore.
