Iron Man' Robert Downey Jr. leads Forbes' highest-paid actors
$75 million, "Iron Man" Robert Downey Jr. is Hollywood's highest paid actor, ahead of Channing Tatum and Hugh Jackman, according to Forbes.com.
Last year, Tom Cruise, 51, topped the list with earnings of $75 million. This year, he dropped to eighth place with $35 million, gained largely from his international audience, Forbes said.
New father Tatum, 33, who self-financed the male-stripper movie "Magic Mike" that made $167 million with director Steven Soderbergh, captured the No. 2 spot with estimated earnings of $60 million. Australian actor Jackman, 44, whose new movie "The Wolverine" opens in U.S. theaters next week, was not far behind with $55 million.

Becomes Largest Nigerian Crude Oil Buyer
India has overtaken the USA as the top buyer of Nigerian crude
oil.
Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria Mahesh Sachdev
said recent statisticsshowed that India had been buying more of
Nigeria’s crude than the US over the last three months.
On the bilateral trade, the present figure stands at $10
billion, even as the total investment of India in Nigerian economy
could be valued at USD 16.6 billion.
India has recently reduced its dependence on Iranian oil in the wake of
the US and European sanctions on the import of oil from the Iran.

New Neptune moon discovered
Hubble space telescope has found a new moon orbiting Neptune, the 14th known to be circling the blue-green planet, US space agency NASA said. The moon, designated S/2004 N 1, is estimated to be no more than 19 km across, making it the smallest known moon in the Neptunian system,
It is so small and dim that it is roughly 100 million times fainter than the faintest star that can be seen with the naked eye, and it even escaped detection by NASA's Voyager 2 spacecraft, which flew past Neptune in 1989 and surveyed the planet's system of moons and rings, the space agency said.

becomes first player in ODIs to claim 350 wickets and score 7000-plus runs
Shahid Afridi became the first cricketer in the ODI history to achieve a
unique double of recording 7000 runs and collecting 350 wickets.
Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi marked his return to international cricket
with a dazzling show as he single-handedly demolished West Indies in the first
ODI of the five-match ODI series on Sunday.
The 33-year-old first rescued the Pakistan innings with a brisk knock of 76 and
then later registered the second best bowling figures in the ODIs by dismissing
seven West Indian batsmen.
Apart from Afridi, the
only other player to score 7000-plus runs and collect 300-plus wickets in ODIs
is former Sri Lankan all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya.

तैयार करने का फैसला किया है।
इसके बाद देश में एमबीबीएस सीटों की संख्या 48 हजार से भी ज्यादा हो जाएगी।
मेडिकल काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया (एमसीआई) ने सरकारी और 10 साल या उससे ज्यादा से चल रहे मान्यता प्राप्त निजी मेडिकल कॉलेजों को एमबीबीएस सीटें बढ़ाने की अनुमति दे दी है।
योजना के अनुसार जिन कॉलेजों में वर्तमान में 50 सीटें हैं, उन्हें 100 सीटों तक और 100 सीटों वाले कॉलेज को 150 तक सीटें बढ़ाने की अनुमति दी जाएगी।
विभिन्न सरकारी और निजी कॉलेजों के आवेदन के आधार पर आगामी 31 जुलाई को नई एमबीबीएस सीटों पर फैसला किया जाएगा।
एमसीआई को बाद में जिन कॉलेजों की सीटें बढ़ाई गई हैं, उन सभी में आधारभूत सुविधाओं की जांच करनी होगी। वर्तमान में देश में 362 मेडिकल कॉलेज हैं, जिनमें 45 हजार से ज्यादा एमबीबीएस की सीटें हैं।
इसके बाद देश में एमबीबीएस सीटों की संख्या 48 हजार से भी ज्यादा हो जाएगी।

ID must to buy acid, shopkeepers need licence to sell
The Central government has submitted its guidelines to regulate the sale and
purchase of acid to the Supreme Court.
According to the guidelines, no one will be able to purchase acid without
submitting a photo ID. Also, shopkeepers who sell acid will have to obtain a
licence to do the same.
The guidelines come after the Supreme Court hauled up the government for not
having done enough to check the sale and purchase of acid to curb the incidents
of acid attacks.
The Apex Court had given the government time till July 16 to submit the
guidelines and had said that if the government failed to draw up the guidelines,
the court would draw up the necessary regulations itself.
The court had also directed the government to give details of how it was
helping victims of acid attacks.
FDI reforms, opens up defence

China has the world's biggest population of Internet users,
with 564 million people online at the end of last year, according to government
data.
The number of people who go online using mobile phones, tablets and other
wireless devices rose 18 percent last year to 420 million.
In May, it announced the purchase of Internet video service
PPS Net for $370 million. It said that, combined with the iQiyi.com service it
already owned, would make it China's biggest mobile video platform by user
numbers.
POSCO $5.3 billion steel mill in Karnataka
South Korea's POSCO said on Tuesday it will pull out of a
$5.3 billion steel mill development in Karnataka, but will proceed with another
$12 billion project billed as the India's largest foreign direct investment.
In 2010, POSCO signed a preliminary agreement with the
Karnataka state government to construct a mill capable of producing 6 million tonnes
of steel a year.
A year earlier it signed a separate steel mill deal with
state-run Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL).
POSCO has been struggling to gain a foothold in India and
tap into the country's iron ore reserves and customer base. The company is
trying to expand overseas to offset competition from smaller rival Hyundai
Steel Co backed by automaker Hyundai Motor Co.
