Qualification: PhD
Experience: 6 Years after PhD or 9 Years total (not counting PhD enrolment period) out of which 3 years
should be after PhD. Three years at the level of Asst. Professor with AGP of Rs. 8000/- or equivalent in a
reputed Institute, R&D Lab. or relevant Industry.
Other Essential Requirements:
1. Four papers in SCI Journals after Ph. D
2. One PhD guided as sole or principal supervisor plus one continuing.
3. Two projects on-going or one ongoing plus one completed
4. Two experiments or computational project added to teaching laboratories where
appropriate. Academic outreach activity equivalent to two self-financed short term courses.
Additional Desirable Requirements:
1. One or more patents
2. Supervising 2 or more students for PhD
3. Strong liaison with Industry
4. Offering courses through application of ICT
Other common essential conditions:
a. First Class in B. Tech / MSc / M. Tech.
b. If University/Institute/Board does not award Class, then Marks awarded should be equal to or
more than 60%.
c. In case University / Institute / Board awards grades in place of marks, then CPI should be
equal to or more than 6.75 in the scale of 10 if Class is not awarded.
The written examination shall be conducted for one hour and the examination shall be based on
the fundamental topics of GATE/NET/SET Syllabus.
