As per a recent circular by Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services (Circular No. 10/30/3/2012-IR) it has been suggested that upcoming exam of IBPS PO will have a criteria of minimum second division marks in graduation.
After looking into concern of thousands of visitors of this website, and after a detailed analysis at our end, we found that more than 40% of the candidates who aspire for IBPS PO exam, do not have more than 60% marks in graduation, which will mean that they will not be able to apply for this upcoming exam.
This is important, as in India, the marking system of various universities differ from each other. Some universities are lenient in giving marks, while some give marks conservatively in graduation courses.
There are many other competitive exams of national repute
like SSC and UPSC, these are also being used by the government for the
recruitment of IAS Officers, Class A and Class B Officers, but even these exams
do not have a minimum 60% criteria like in case of IBPS PO. So, it is ironical
that a person with less than 60% marks, can become an IAS Officer but he can
not be a Bank Officer.
