Soon you can get to know the status of your application for
a ration card, electricity connection or for any other government service just by dialing 166.
The Government is working to start this automated telephone service by December.
This automated service, like the Railway enquiry number, would give people access to government services that can be offered through phone like checking the status of any application, filling forms and many others that are being developed.
