Careers in agriculture also exist in research institutes,
laboratories and soil conservation bodies. Candidates with a degree in
agriculture are in great demand in the primary economic sector which includes
farming, plantations, fisheries, mining, cattle rearing and poultry farming.
NABARD too assists the Mission in running these shops.
There are a lot of
institutions which offering biotechnology undergraduates and post graduates
courses (its duration is two years and is divided into four semesters). A
biotechnology course are combination of technology and biology and includes
subjects like Biostatistics, Plant Biotechnology, Enzymology, Metabolism,
Genetics, Cell Biology, Analytical Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular
Biology, Genetic Engineering, Immunology, Molecular Biophysics and
Bioinformatics, together with relevant laboratory programs.

admitted into the engineering, medical and agricultural courses in the
different government institutes offering the above courses.
The Agricultural sector also has been greatly influenced
by the industrialization process. Industrialized agriculture is the new
concept that has come up with Agriculture institute being set up to meet the
requirements of agriculture based industries.
